  • Provenance: Elizabeth Stockman is from the Northern Territory, known for her vibrant and symbolic paintings that depict sacred Dreamtime stories. Born in Laramba, a remote community located approximately 200 km northwest of Alice Springs, Elizabeth is a descendant of the Anmatjere people. She is also a relative of the renowned artist Billy Stockman Tjapaltjarri, a founding member of the Papunya Tula art movement.

    Elizabeth's artworks primarily focus on traditional Dreamtime narratives, including Wild Flowers, Bush Tomato, Women's Ceremony, and Snake and Emu Dreaming. These themes are central to her cultural heritage and are expressed through her distinctive style, characterised by intricate dot work and a vibrant colour palette. Her paintings often feature symbolic representations of sacred sites, ceremonial patterns, and ancestral stories, reflecting her deep connection to her land and culture.
