Tanya Bird Mpetyane

Tanya Bird Mpetyane is a young Indigenous Australian artist. Tanya is the daughter of artists Paddy and Eileen Bird of Utopia, and granddaughter of renowned artist Ada Bird Petyarre.

Tanya’s Dreamings include, Women’s Ceremony, Body Paint and Bush Medicine Leaves. Her style of painting is highly detailed and recognisable, featuring black and white or bright colours in the dotting style.
